Experience Overview

There are an abundance of black bears in southern Oregon which typically forage in clear cuts and meadows. The bears are most active early in the morning and in the evenings as it gets cooler in the day. The most successful methods of hunting Bears is to strategically glass from vantage points. We also have a high percentage of color phase bears. Fall tags are over the counter. You can get up to 2 tags per person. - Fall Black Bear Season: August 1 - December 31 Spring bear tags are draw but with high draw odds for non residents. - Spring Black Bear Season: April 1 - May 31
