Walking down the isles of SHOT Show 2025, I saw something that was not like the rest. Sitting in front of me was the Ivey Adjustable Scope Mount that had a dial for adjusting elevation.
Addison was working the booth and showcased the Ivey adjustable scope mount for me, and here’s what I learned:
The Ivey Adjustable Scope Mount is a specialized mounting system for riflescopes, offering significant elevation adjustment capabilities. Available in two models, the mount is tailored to fit different shooting needs:
This level of adjustability allows shooters to reach extended ranges that exceed the capabilities of traditional Picatinny rails, which typically max out at around 60 MOAs.
Adjusting elevation in the mount rather than the scope itself also has several key advantages:
The Ivey Adjustable Scope Mount is particularly appealing to long-range enthusiasts, whether shooting centerfire or rimfire. Addison shared an example of hitting targets at 600 to 800 yards with a .22 Long Rifle—a feat made possible by dialing in 40 mils of elevation. The mount’s precision and versatility allow for impressive accuracy at extreme distances.
A notable application of the Ivey mount is its potential synergy with weapon-mounted ballistic rangefinders, such as the Vortex Impact 4000.
Addison pointed out that because the scope and rangefinder move as a single unit, the rangefinder remains aligned with the reticle even after elevation adjustments.
This ensures accurate ranging and ballistic solutions, addressing a common limitation in many rifle setups where dialing the scope causes misalignment between the rangefinder and the reticle.
The Ivey Adjustable Scope Mount comes in various sizes to accommodate different scope tube diameters, including 30mm, 34mm, 36mm, and 40mm. Shooters can also customize the mount’s color to match their rifle setup.
The price ranges from $900 to $1,100, depending on the specific configuration and coating options. With two decades of development and testing, the design has been refined to deliver consistent, reliable performance. Addison emphasized that these mounts are a premium option for serious shooters, standing apart from more gimmicky competitors.
